On The Road Again
I made a list of New Year's resolutions and at the top I wrote "Update website more frequently." Somewhere on that list, though I don't see it at the moment, I'm sure it said "But skip January and start in February."
Anyway…
I'm back on the road again. I'm actually putting this together on the plane back from Alabama, returning home after two great events in Birmingham (Murder in the Magic City) and Wetumpka (Murder on the Menu), where I got to meet not only some great book-lovin' folks in the south, but also hang out with some of my other mystery pals -- Sean Doolittle, Duane Swierczynski, Victor Gischler, Jim Born, Harley Jane Kozak, Susan McBride, Kathryn Wall, Sarah Stewart Taylor, Steve Hamilton, Jan Burke, Harry Hunsicker, Pari Noskin Taichert and Claire Matturro. I'll be heading to Sleuthfest in March and you can check out the Appearances link for other things that are on the horizon.
On the book front, Killer Swell arrives in paperback in June and the second book featuring Noah, Carter and the gang hits shelves in hardcover on July 6th. It's called Wicked Break and I'll be able to tell you more about it soon. Look for cover art for both books (both covers are awesome) to show up here next month and excerpts from Wicked Break in the next month or two.
And I've gone and gotten myself a blog. Everyone's doing it and I'm very vulnerable to peer pressure. If you've got nothing else to do and are looking to waste some time, check it out -- it's called First Offenders and I'm writing it with three other first time mystery authors -- Lori Armstrong, Alison Gaylin and Karen Olson. You can find it here.
And I got an iPod for Christmas, so I'm busy adding songs -- if you've got suggestions or recommendations of something that I absolutely must have loaded onto this little magical wonder, feel free to shoot me an email.
